BELARUS EXPO 2008
12th November
From 12 to 15 November, 2008, the International Exhibition Center Kipsala in Riga hosted the National Exhibition of the Republic Belorus BELARUS EXPO 2008. Contributing the development of economic, social and cultural relations between the two countries, trades of that kind traditionally have being held once in 2 years since 1996.
More than 140 leading Belorussian companies prepared their showcase stands with the best production manufactured and exported.
The official opening ceremony was attended by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus Mr. Sergey Sidorsky and the Prime-Minister of Latvia Ivar Godmanis, also by the general director of the Minsk Tractor Plant A.Puhovoy.
The company MTZ serviss participated the trade as the only official representative of the Minsk Tractor Plant on Latvian territory. Visitors of our stand at BELARUS EXPO 2008 were familiarized with various models of Belorussian agricultural equipment of 32-280 h.p. capacity. It was the first time in Latvia there had been presented latest novelties of Minsk Tractor Plant, namely Belarus 422.1 of 50 h.p. capacity, Belarus 921.3 of 90 h.p. capacity , Belarus 622 of 60 h.p. capacity, and comparatively grand Belarus 2822 with 280 h.p. capacity. All those models have engines meeting Tier 3A standard.
It was a pleasant surprise for us to discover the sincere interest to Belorussian machines not only from our loyal client – latvian farmers, agricultural professionals and head of municipalities, but also from the official state person’s side: the Prime-Minister I.Godmanis personally took the operator’s seat of the Belorus tractor and testied the cab.
